Anthrax Outbreak in Bangladesh
Cutaneous Anthrax cases from 18 August to 05 October 2010


In Bangladesh 600+ people have been infected by Cutaneous Anthrax since its first detection on 18th August 2010. The country was put on high alert Sunday 5th Sept 2010 as the bacterial disease continued to spread between animals and people. No new cases were introduced within last 24 hours. The following maps show the geographic coverage of the outbreak and districtwise/upazilawise infected people based on data available from Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Bangladesh.
