SOFTWORKS, provider of dedicated software solutions, has established during the year 2001 by a team of young and dynamic professionals who are working on developing innovative applications in smartphone - iPhone/iPad, Android, Windows & J2ME development and interactive Dashboard: Charts & Maps from any database/XML feed to overlay of data on World/Bangladesh (Divisional/District/Upazila/Constituency) maps.

Currently Softworks is working as an IT services subcontractor of Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) program of Bangladesh for Management Science for Health (MSH) funded by USAID who are providing MIS services to maintain DGFP procurement and logistics system a network of 21 warehouses and 483 Upazila stores. Under MSH/SPS Program, we have developed a web-based software for the management and reporting of procurement packages of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW). This web based system is act as a one-stop source of information to know the status of procurement packages.

We have also developed a number of applications for smartphones - iPhone, iPad, Android & Windows mobiles. We are mainly focusing in educational and business application development. Some of our applications are already in Apple iTunes Store.

The Management

Mahmudul Islam, Managing Director

Mahmudul Islam aged 37 years; a Graduate in Computer Science from BUET has vast working experiences in Bangladesh Government project like CEGIS, USAID DELIVER Bangladesh and Donor agencies in the field of Family Planning, Water Resources and GIS and also working experiences in software firms. He is a certified Oracle 10g DBA, DOT.NET, VB advanced programming developer. By dint of his personal initiative and outstanding leadership quality he managed to involve himself in different spheres of software and consulting business. He has been serving as a Master Trainer since long for conducting training among large audience of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. He also has gathered in-depth business domain knowledge about Health and Family Planning operational process and Textiles & RMG industries. Mr. Islam is a widely traveled man who has visited many countries of the world in connection with attending different international seminars & exhibitions and has a commendable experience in business management.

Hasan Mahmud, Executive Director

Hasan Mahmud aged 38 years, is a MBA in Digital Technology Management from Royal Roads University, British Columbia, Canada and Chartered Accountancy Course Completed from Shah Alam & Co. has over ten years working experience in Accounts, Finance and ICT field in Textiles group, ISP and ICT enabled consulting firms. He is also an Accounting, Financial Management and Taxation (AFT) Consultant for SME enlisted by Katalyst a Swisscontact project who is working for SMEs development since long. He has conducted several basic computers and ICT enable training programs for in-house audience as well as out site parties like SMEs, Rural ICT Project, NGOs etc.
